The
Projects
page in the Administration interface displays appropriate commands for each data
source or project you have configured:
-
Load
translates data for a project into a format that Project Reporter uses to
generate reports on it.
-
Unload
makes reports on a project unavailable to users.
-
Delete
(for projects stored in files only) removes the project file from its directory.
Note: This command does not delete .MPP or .MPD
files, in case they represent the master file for a project.
-
Remove
(for data sources only) deletes a data source from the Project Reporter configuration,
but does not actually delete any files, directories, Windows ODBC Data Source
Names, or database entries.
-
Error Details
displays a more detailed error message when there are problems accessing a data
source or loading a project.
-
Reset
clears the log of error details for the data source or project, so that you can
try accessing or loading it again after resolving whatever problems caused a
previous error.
-
Properties
(for ODBC and JDBC data sources only) lets you change the login ID and password
used to connect to the data source (note that you cannot change the name of a data
source, or the JDBC driver class name and URL string for a JDBC data source;
instead you must remove it and create a new one).
This page also displays any groups to which
projects have been assigned, in order to control which users have access to
them.
Note: Although projects are listed in the
Projects
frame according to the data sources they belong to, this listing is independent
of the Groups feature. You can add any project to any group, regardless of which
data source it comes from.
